Four out of ten Argentinians live in poverty. Almost five million people do not have enough income to get enough food. The situation is particularly drastic in the Chacó region, the second largest ecosystem in the world: numerous indigenous communities and smallholder families do not have sufficient access to drinking water, electricity, education and health care. Children die of malnutrition.
Together with the Argentine partner organization INCUPO, Welthaus is committed to improving the living conditions of these people.
