Welthaus regularly invites international guests working on development projects abroad to pay us a visit in Austria. International projects like these give us perspectives for a united society that is ready for the future.
These guest encounters offer the possibility to engage with visitors from Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The encounters are not limited to the form of lectures but are also held as workshops in schools, visits to companies or round table discussion with decision-makers.
During the encounters, we discuss living conditions in developing countries and in Europe, fighting poverty and protecting our natural resources, as well as worldwide interdependencies and the effects of globalisation on our everyday lives. We not only want our guests to tell their stories – but also we want input from Austrians.
Our Guest Encounters are organised by the Welthaus offices in Innsbruck, Graz, Klagenfurt, Linz, St. Pölten and Vienna.
